About the Fishbowls
- The Fishbowls are equipped with tables, seating, a TV with laptop connection capability, and a whiteboard.
- Fishbowl 1, located in the 1st Floor Learning Commons in McWherter Library, remains unlocked, so no key is required. Laptops, HDMI/VGA/other cables, and dry erase markers are available to check out at the Checkout Desk (McWherter 1st Floor).
- Fishbowl 2 (Room 421 H) & Fishbowl 3 (Room 421 K), located on the 4th Floor of McWherter Library, are locked a require you to visit the Checkout Desk (McWherter 1st Floor) to checkout a Fishbowl kit, which contains the key, an HDMI cord, TV remote, and dry erase markers.

Fishbowl Rules
- The Fishbowls are considered Collaborative Zones. They are designated for normal-volume conversation that does not disturb others; please be mindful of others working in the area.
- All current UofM students may reserve this space.
- Reservable for academic work, projects, & meetings.
- Not reservable for recurring sessions.
- May be reserved for groups of 6 or more. Not reservable for individual use or for groups fewer than 6.
- Occupancy may not exceed the space capacity of 15 people.
- May be reserved for up to 4 hours at a time and up to 30 days in advance.
- Room must be vacated if reserved.
- For events or larger meetings, reserve an event space.
- When using the Fishbowls or other collaborative spaces, students must follow the “Behavioral Expectations and Responsibilities” set forth in the Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities.
