Discussion Panel: Does My Vote Matter?

Discussion Panel: Does My Vote Matter? In-Person

In today’s divisive political environment, with a flood of conflicting and misleading information, it can be easy to wonder, “Where do I fit into this political system? Does my vote even matter?” If you’re seeking to make sense of the upcoming election, join us at McWherter Library's 2nd Floor or via Teams (bit.ly/umvotepanel_oct2024) for an informative panel discussion about our electoral system and what role each of us can play in determining our collective future. The panel will feature Ebony Dawkins, Associate Professor of Teaching, Political Science; Dr. Andre E. Johnson, Professor of Rhetoric and Media Studies; and Otis Sanford, Professor Emeritus, Journalism and Strategic Media. You’ll also receive practical information about how to make informed choices in this year’s election. A reception with pizza will begin at 3:30 p.m. This event is free and open to all. This event is sponsored by the Helen Hardin Honors College and the University Libraries.
