Dr. Irma Singarella, Health Sciences Librarian at the University Libraries, will introduce you to the purpose, characteristics, strengths, and limitations of literature reviews and scoping reviews. Through examples and discussion, attendees will learn how to determine which approach best aligns with their research goals, available evidence, and intended outcomes. The session will also provide an overview of the planning process, key methodological considerations, and reporting standards associated with each review type.
