Civil Rights Law: Then and Now In-Person
A discussion of civil rights law led by attorneys Charles Newman and Alexander Wharton and moderated by the executive director of the Benjamin L. Hooks Institute for Social Change, Daphene R. McFerren. Charles Newman represented Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. just before his assassination in 1968. Alexander Wharton joined the family firm in Memphis in September 2010, where he currently concentrates his practice in civil litigation. Sponsored by the Benjamin L.
